Heirloom tie slide with an oval silver framed agate of greys and cream color stone is 1 1/8” x ” and suspended from two 1 ” chains. The style of slide with its teardrop shaped back side dates it to the 1920s or 1930s. It measures 2 ” at its widest and 2” from the top of the front bar to the bottom of the agate charm. The chain, and oval stone frame respond to polishing as Sterling, but the metal slide acts more like silver plate – nothing is marked – originally, it was probably on its merchandising packaging or tags. Overall, it is in excellent vintage condition. The color will go with nearly any color tie because the silver and gray is so neutral. Go from Ordinary Joe to James Bond with this bit of haberdashery.
