Item description
The Story Behind the Cup
This is not a factory-made cup. It is a one-of-a-kind ceramic teacup, born from the ancient art of wood-firing in Dehua the porcelain capital of China, where master potters have been perfecting their craft for generations.
The kiln-change effect you see is not painted on. It emerges naturally during the 1300C firing process, as wood ash settles on the exposed clay body and transforms into a natural glaze. No artificial glaze is applied this is pure alchemy: earth, fire, wood, and kiln working together to create something that can never be exactly replicated. Every single cup fires differently. Yours is truly one of a kind.
What Makes This Cup Special
Kiln-Change Glaze The glaze is formed naturally during high-temperature wood-firing, not applied by hand. The result is an organic, earthy surface with subtle variations in color and texture a living record of the fires journey through the kiln.
Handcrafted by Master Artisans Each cup is shaped, trimmed, and finished by skilled potters in Dehua, a region with over a thousand years of ceramic tradition.
Classic Arhat Form The cup features the traditional Arhat (Luohan) shape a wide, stable base and a gently rounded body that fits perfectly in the palm of your hand. The 75ml capacity is ideal for Gongfu tea, oolong, puer, or green tea.
Natural Food-Safe Made from natural clay and wood-fired without additives. All glazes are food-safe and lead-free. Safe for tea, coffee, or any hot beverage.

This is not a defect its what makes wood-fired ceramics special. If you love the idea of owning a truly unique piece, this cup is for you.
