Verizon LTE Network Extender in box. This is a Verizon LTE Network Extender model ASK-SFE116 (also known as a femtocell or indoor mini cell tower). It connects to your existing high-speed broadband internet via Ethernet and creates a private Verizon 4G LTE signal inside your home or office, greatly improving voice call quality, reducing dropped calls, and boosting data speeds in areas with weak outdoor coverage such as basements, rural locations, or thick-walled buildings. Coverage reaches approximately 7,500 square feet (about a 50-foot radius) and it supports up to 14 active devices at once. The unit requires a minimum internet speed of 10 Mbps down / 5 Mbps up (20/10 recommended), a continuous GPS signal, and works with Verizon Wireless devices that have Advanced Calling/HD Voice enabled. Easy to set up and operates at no extra monthly cost beyond your existing internet service. Condition: I am fairly confident that this device has never been used due to its pristine condition and unused accessories (power adapter, ethernet cord, mounting rings). However, I don't know its history and I can't confirm that it's "unused" without having a Verizon network to determine whether the device has been registered online. Therefore I am listing it as USED. As documented by the photos in this listing's gallery, the device powered up, connected to a router, then acquired a GPS signal. The device hookup is exceptionally easy. Plug in the power adapter to a wall plug, connect the device to your home router with the provided ethernet cord, and the device begins its own setup. NOTE: It took about an hour for the device to acquire the GPS signal, which is normal. During that hour I received a "GPS insufficient - Error 6A" message, which went away once the GPS signal was acquired (it is still searching despite showing the error message). The extender does come with a wired antenna that can be attached to a window to gain better reception. I did not deploy the antenna because it wasn't needed and I didn't want to open an unopened cord if it's not needed. I take returns within 30 days for any reason.
