At Earth First Native Plant Nursery, the mission is to combat habitat degradation by educating and encouraging the public of use native plants in the landscape rather than invasive ones which can escape and harm local ecosystems. Natives are food and shelter sources for local wildlife and must be available if local wildlife populations are to thrive. For this reason it is also imperative that the plants not be treated or grown with chemicals which could harm or kill wildlife. We only grow organically, from responsibly collected seed. Most seeds are local. Seeds from plants not found in the immediate area are sourced from places as close as possible.
Plant sales and shipment begin each year on Apr 15 and run through Nov 1. In the event of extremely hot weather, all shipments are held until it is safe for them to travel. Trucks get extremely hot inside and this could damage or even kill them. Spring and fall are always best for shipping. Also if you live locally, pick up is encouraged. You also can save on shipping. Pick up hours are by appointment only. Please email if you wish to pick up.
Thank you for choosing to plant natives. Happy Planting!
