Oh I am so sorry...... i wish you would have reached out... we always fix these issues. We use Carters onesies, which you know is the standard for sizing so no, the newborn is not for a preemie...... your baby is slightly bigger than you thought?........ anyway, reach out, we will fix it........ But Carters does not in any way run small
