Monty, the Elton John music & photos are [URL removed] Songbooks.
I also agree that most are piano, guitar and also the “brass” combinations.
If they have posters or photos in them, then they’re worth alot more than those without.

Anything done by Herb Ritts is now a very hot item to collect or resale. Just his own photography (used) books have almost tripled in price. This Elton John photo with the “done by Herb Ritts” noted on the Index or second page is definitely a collectable & pricey if the right buyer comes along.

Hope this helps, Brad

If the book is a collection its a Songbook. Usually the music of an album of the same name, or greatest hits, etc. I’ve sold them in the past (not on this site) for about $8 to $40. You will find some listed higher on the big sites. Some are rarer than others. Condition is important for price, but seems even poor condition ones will sell if its an important or rare one. Guitar teachers, cover bands, students, collectors, will buy them. I think most of them are usually guitar/piano. That’s all I know from experience, not a regular music/book seller.

A Score, is typically sheet music that includes all parts played for the instruments it is written for. In the case of Classical music, it would have all the parts for strings, brass, woodwinds, percussion and piano. They are used by a conductor to be able to see what each group is playing all at the same time… Scores are usually much thicker than individual sheet music for each instrument.

Wish I had some money…My 14 yr old daughter is a music fanatic over 70’s music and would love to have all of those. She plays guitar.
