Do most people use another name to identify their site besides their own?

Also do you have to let your buyer see your whole address?

Unless you are running under Witness Protection, I see no reason that you should be concerned.

For browsing purposes most will only see my USERID…but once a person makes a purchase through paypal, the buyer will get your name/address (unless using a business ID and address).

Google now has a “transparancy” rule that buyers have right to know with whom they are dealing with…so contact information has to be located somewhere…(for here most have it on their profile page)

Except for “Privacy” reasons, we don’t see much need for hiding our address or other means to contact us. Most buyers will never use it, but a lot (read [URL removed] most) of them like to be able to see it’s available.

Your shipping labels will have your address, unless you’re dropshipping, so… If you’re new to selling online, relax, it’ll be OK. Proceed as planned! :)

To Answer Brilliantly

Remember these tips:

  • Use links to other sources to support your opinions
  • Use examples where possible
  • Put yourself in the inquirers shoes: what extra info would be helpful?

Should I post a comment or an answer?

You can only post one answer, so make it count. Maybe your reply is more fitting as a comment instead?

Post an answer for:

  • Replies that directly and specifically answer the original question

Post a comment for:

  • "Thanks," "Me too," "I agree," or "Works for me" types of replies
  • When you would like the original poster to provide more details
  • When you have more to add to someone else's question or answer
