Does importing feedback from other e-commerce sites help sales here?

Just wondering if imported feedback has verifiably helped anyone’s sales on Bonzanza.

for the most part..feedback does not have that much influence here…I have never sought feedback from my buyers..and few rarely come back to leave it..

I believe that having feedback associated with your account does help. There will be potential buyers who might question purchasing something (especially expensive items) from a seller who has no reputation/feedback. Even with buyer protection (PayPal, etc.), a reluctant buyer is a “lost” buyer.

After all, having positive feedback certainly doesn’t hurt your sales. If you have the feedback, why not import it? What’s the minimum you need to have? For me, it’s at least 10 feedbacks received for selling items.

ccmom is correct that few buyers “rarely come back to leave it.” And, IMO, once you have enough to alleviate seller concerns, there is no need to keep accumulating it. What may be the most important thing of all is that you have TRANSACTIONS (and Bonanza displays that in the feedback area) on Bonanza. That shows that you buy and sell and are a stable person on Bonanza’s platform.

agree also..buyers are geared to the FB system and may be hesitant for a seller without FB, but there are numerous stand alone store on the net now that have no such system. The transaction # and a certain basic amount of FB should please those hesitant.

I at first imported my feedback but decided to delete the imported feedback for a few reasons. On the internet, I came across where previous shoppers on Bonanza were in a forum talking about how sellers’ feedback did not have anything to do with Bonanza. Second, and mainly, I did not like the blurb Bonanza says when the link is clicked on that explains where the imported feedback came from.

It’s my personal opinion/choice and one I’ve been happy with.

I imported my f/b when I first started on Bonanza. I did it because the site was new and I wanted people to gain trust.

Once I received about 50 of my own Bonanza f/b, I deleted the imported ones. Buyers don’t leave a lot of f/b here, but like Tom says, prospective buyers can see transaction numbers. I DO leave f/b for pretty much every buyer, so people can also see what transactions you’ve had, and with whom.

I wouldn’t mind if it showed at a glance, how many f/b I have left. I think, if a potential buyer actually FINDS it, that f/b left assures them you had no problems with transactions, that your sales were not shilled, and the dates show them if you’ve been active recently (with sales, not just signed in).

they can see the fb you left for others on your FB page, but it would be nice to also see a # at a glance

but then if you left one for all your transactions, then the #transactions would also be the # of FB left for others…I also know that many would not bother to figure that out…

I also got rid of the imported feedback and have plenty from buyers here. I think having to leave feedback for buyers is dumb though.
