Help please...elusive cookie/cake server

This is a cookie/cake server. I received it 40 yreas ago as a gift and was told it was an antique then. Of course I have forgotten all the info given to me at that time. I place this at approximately 80 years old today. I need help in identifying its maker,type of glass, and value. There are no markings on it anywhere. I have searched Millers and Kovels and have not been able to find anything even remotely close to this. All help would be appreciated

The glass looks like what is called End of the Day glass. If you put in End of the day glass you will see many examples. Your glass is a mixture of pink glass and milk glass and it looks like another color pink or cranberry.

I would suspect that your sandwich server could easily date back to the turn of the century or 1900. Pink glass was much more common then too. So far that is all I can tell you. But it gives you something else to research. The clue is to find something else made from this color and you might be able to trace the manufacturer.

I will also keep looking. It is a beautiful piece and unique.

[URL removed] It could be Cambridge as they had pink glass both clear and opaque. Much of this dates to the 20’s and 30’s and they have a similar handle on some of their depression sandwich plates.

The best of luck and if I find anything else will let you know.

Hi Jinx,

It’s very pretty, love the color. For a start, try searching center handled sandwich servers in vintage, antique, depression era.

@unique….it is glass of some sort…maybe pressed. Definitely not blown

@annapple…. thank you …. will give that a try

@John Germaine……thank you.You ran into what I was running into. I really would like to know about this dish.

@adelberta3….I want to know too!!

@Toby’s…thank you thank you…I will ceertainly check it out. The 20’- 30’s is what I suspect but am not sure.

@Toby’s….You may be right. It is only white and pink with the black handle….I did a little search and I am suspecting that it is murano glass(kind of rings a bell in my memory) but it could also be bohemian. Now I will have to do further research.

You all have been so wonderful….I have been researching all your ideas and still have not come up with anything concrete. Still have more to do. Thank you all

These are also sometimes called a tidbit tray or tidbit dish. Very pretty. I looked in Replacements.com for you and didn’t see it.
