Is it just me or are others seeing this also?

Good Tuesday morning all. Hope you had a wonderful Labor Day Weekend.

I found something very strange this morning in my postings. All of a sudden I have question marks in my item listings.

I did a quick search of my booth this morning for ? and there was over 80 of my 800 items that have/had a question mark in places where if a buyer read the description, they would wonder if I have any clue as to what I am selling.

I’ve fix them, now when I do new listings, I have to go back in and edit as there is that ? mark again, and I didn’t put it there.

Where do they come from? Is this just me or does anyone else see this in their listing.

Hi! My mistake I want to comment and clicked on flag for removal sorry hope the technicians see I made the error. Yes I have had the same issues, but it’s been an on and off issue for a couple of years. Hope Bonanza can fix it.

I also had and sometimes still have the same issue.

I’ve noticed that usually question marks appear during pasting some part from my other listings.

It doesn’t show in a ‘paste’ window, only later after saving changes.

Since for a long period there have been some glitches here and I couldn’t fix it, I had this phrases in my [URL removed] “original? oil painting”, “[URL removed] T. Cahelsky?”, etc.!…

Another [URL removed] in the end of some descriptions I had this [URL removed]

_"Feedback to my auctions with sold paintings of the same [URL removed]"

I’ve used the word “auctions” (eB habit) and later I’ve noticed that it has been changed by B. [URL removed]

_"Feedback to mysales with sold paintings of the same [URL removed]" (‘mysales’ as a one word and together with the word ‘sold’ in the same sentence!)

Nobody notified me to change the word “auction”…

Anyway, since this week the “Save these changes” button finally worked in my booth, I started to change it to “my listings”.

Haven’t checked mine lately…but when the editor was updated/changed in the past I would get weird symbols and a A in spaces…

My guess a font/or format incompatiblility from cutting and pasting..

When pasting from another site, put the text into Notepad first and then copy again and paste…it will strip all the old formating out and leave you with only text.

That makes sense. I do copy from similar listings for ease of new listing, then I duplicate that new listing several times, which by then has the question mark in it and the cycle begins.

Now I know how it happens and what I need to do in order to prevent it.

Thank you ArtiatUnion. Very much appreciate your help.

Copying and pasting punctuation marks, dashes, etc., make these funny things happen. Especially from Word / OpenOffice documents, PDFs, etc.

I get them all the time. I do think its an issue with a font incompatibility from cutting and pasting.
