On the second day. But then by the 3rd day definitely.

Of course there are the occasional emergencies that happen though. If you see that they are quite active based on their past feedback this is something to consider.

Did you make the OBO through the system..use the cart or just send message. If through the cart, the seller either has to accept or decline. Just sent a message..seller does not have to respond, though that is not really good business

I can’t imagine us not responding within 24 hours. I have all messages from here forwarded to my email, which is on my phone. A potential customer would hear from me pretty soon after messaging or purchasing.

There used to be a way (somewhere) that a buyer could tell when the seller last signed into their account. Perhaps someone here knows where to look and check that but I would say no more than 72 hours as Empress mentioned.

you check last login on the profile page…unfortunately I have noticed that more and more of the newer sellers are not allowing the profile page to be public..

Wonderful comments, thank you. I did see something that said “Active 2/11/2018.” But seems no activity since then, no response to 2 msgs, items still for sale though. Guess I will move on, not knowing the “why.”

It’s so frustrating! I can’t afford to buy often, but it is ironic that when I DO see something that I want, often can’t get response to my questions. Not just here but other sites.

If a seller has not answered within 24-72 hrs (3 days), I’d move on. I check my email daily, often more than once during the day and evening. I’m a real stickler for that.

I believe emails should be answered promptly, even if I don’t have an answer yet. I let the person know that I have rec’d the msg and that I’m working on it. I try to give a time period when I’ll get back with him/her. One of my main pet peeves, waiting an excessive amount of time to hear back, and not even knowing if my msg has been rec’d.
