Who is this vintage plush christmas boy? SOLVED!

7/26/11 GOOD NEWS! A WHOLE BUNCH OF PEOPLE IN THE GENERAL FORUM HELPED ME SEARCH FOR HIM FOR 2 DAYS. LADYKIKI FOUND HIM! HE’S A RARE COCA COLA COLLECTABLE CALLED “FROSTY BOY”. THE BONANZA COMMUNITY IS WONDERFUL. MYSTERY SOLVED!
-—————————————————-

I found this vintage guy at a yard sale today and would like to sell him on Bonanza, but I don’t have a clue as to who he is. Perhaps a Christmas cartoon character from the past? Maybe an advertising figure? Anyone know? Thank you.

DQ (Dairy Queen) had some “similiar” as a promotional item for their “Dilly bars” in the 1970s…

Good luck on your research with this information next!

Any tush tag that would say what company made him or what country he was made in?

answered almost 13 years ago

There are no tags. Just a sticker on the back that says he was manufactured from “all new type material” and some registration numbers. I think he may be taking a ride in my car to the Goodwill today!

Does it have to be a known character? The neckband is a definite clue as Daffy and other cartoon people wore those often, and the Chase Bag Company was used by many corporations in advertising. It is valuable as a vintage mystery but my guess is one of Jim Hendersons red haired ones called Gerald

I think it’s something like Montrose suggested – a fast-food restaurant give-away. When I looked at the photo, I first thought Burger King, but I can’t say why that is.
