West germany lidded stein

i have a large stein. it says west germany on the bottom. it looks like it could be ceramic. it has two women with some houses in the scenery. i would like to know some history on it and if its actually an antique and if its worth anything.

Need a picture!!

The words ‘West Germany’ already say that it’s kinda vintage
since there is no West or East Germany anymore.

I should know, I’m German – LOL

Germany reunited in 1989 :-)

Please feel free to B-mail me at anytime. I will help you out if possible. I agree that you should list this stein. Or you could simply take pictures and post them on a thread for all of us to look at and give you an honest opinion about it.

Also, the fact that it is a West German stein does indeed makes it a minimum of 20 years old, as Germany reunited in 1990 after the fall of the Berlin wall.

Hi justlex_13, you raise an excellent subject. I’m sorry but don’t have any firsthand knowledge in this area but I know quite alot of what sellers sell or have within their booths, etc…

Here @ Bonanzle, we are so fortunate to have a member of the community that does indeed have a variety of beer steins and mugs. Please consider taking a moment to check their booth out and perhaps with their expertise knowledge they might be able to assist you?

Good luck. Here is the sellers booth link>

Post some pics for us to look at. List the measurements of the stein as well. That will help.

The mark made in West Germany, made in Western Germany was used from [phone number removed] (so not antique)
West German beer steins range from $10-$40 and were and still are popular tourist souvenir items.

Same thing that has already been said. I have several in my booth, priced around 35 – 45.00. The makers name would also make a difference. If it has no makers name, then probably 20 – 30.00. You can list it with a price and OBO.

I am German, and I can only supose… In the black Forest they sell little remembers like that, figures in typpical costumes on stoans or wood pieces.
It would be great to see a picture about, than I could tell you something directly.
Like before…made in west germany tells a little bit about the age. This brand was used before the union with the east communist part.

Maybe you attach a picture?
