Japanese Navy Cap Tally - Great Japan Imperial Navy - WW2 - New .
Reproduction WW2 Japanese Navy Ratings cap tally. This reads 'Great Japan Imperial Navy' from right to left. Introduced in 1941 to avoid identifying specific ships.

Japanese WWII tallies were usually printed as in this example although embroidered versions did exist. This tally should fit all Japanese caps. It is 34mm tall and 81cm long. The swallow tail ends have been cut sewn and marked with the gold anchors. Notice the material is 'lined' - again the majority of tallies were made this way. The cap in the pictures is not for sale.
