I love the set. It did come out of the package with some minor scratches which was a little disappointing, but it was well packaged, so I have to assume the scratches came from before it was sent. They are small, and I'm a little picky, but... It tells me the wood may be easily scratched, so I am going to make a small cloth bag to keep it in to prevent further scratching.
Lastly, the pictures show a single metal clasp to lock the board shut, and the one I received had two clasps. Final comment: This set is well worth the price. It is a beautiful chess board with handsome pieces.
