These pods do not release coffee during brewing cycle
These Verismo pods are hard to find. These were delivered quickly and are just was we needed.
Since Starbucks discontinued the Verismo product line a few years ago--machines and pods--I had to find alternate pods to use in my machine. I had briefly experimented with a Nespresso machine as a replacement, but I tried about a dozen different Nespresso pods and never found an espresso I liked as much as the Starbucks Verismo pods).
Ultimately I was able to find good alternatives which worked in the Verismo, except for decaf espresso--none of the alternatives were as good as the Starbucks' decaf.
I was happy to find these Verismo pods for a not insane price. Yes, they are priced at a premium at this point, since they are hard to find. As I expected, they are past their "best by" date, but they still taste better than other decaf options, and we don't drink a lot of decaf, so these should last us a while, stored in a vacuum container.
