Geologists agree that Jurassic Todilto Limestone (JTL) rocks found here are NOT found elsewhere in the world. These rocks were formed here, based on a uniquely special pattern of flowing streams that supplied water to the large AMBROSIA LAKE that attracted many dinosaurs during the ancient Jurassic Era, 200 million to 148 million years in the past. The Ambrosia Lake has now been dry for many millions of years after the dino era. When radioactive dinosaur fossils are presently found at the canyon, they are nearly always formed from JTL rocks, NOT from the other four uranium minerals: Carnotite / Coffinite / Tyuyamunite / Uraninite.
